Purple went to her new home on Saturday. So now there are 2 girls. Red is still available for adoption.
This was Purple on her way to her new home. She was so car sick. She vomited 4 times. We took Vada with us thinking it might relax purple but I dont think it helped her car sickness.
Yeller went to a wonderful family today. Believe it or not I didnt get to meet them in person because I had to work but Rusty says I have nothing to worry about, they are a great young family for Yeller to grow up with. I talked to them on the phone and they sounded wonderful but I had to work when they came to get him. They havent picked out a name yet but when they do I will post it. I dont know if I posted or not but Blue collar is Yazzy and they call him Yaz. So we have the 3 girls left at the house. Red (Queens) is the only female still available. She is definately the alfa female and she is gonna need a family with lots of patience. She is a loving little girl with a big fearless attitude.
Then there were 4. I may be too picky to be a breeder. I have turned down 3 families this week so Red and Yellow are still looking for a Good home. They are 9 weeks old now and growing bigger every day. I should really have them weighed because I would guess Yeller is pushing 20 lbs and the girls 16 or 17 lbs.
Other than all the dogs at my house passing a cold around the last 2 weeks all of them are doing great and getting along good. We have guest dogs for a year, my sons 2 dogs, Gadget the beagle and Maize, the runt from our first litter with Blue and Gurdy my son adopted, our 3 ridgies, Blue Gurdy and Vada. Then of course our rescued rott Halie bear. My son has decided to keep pink collar and her new name is June, I call her junella. Then we have Purple collar going next weekend and Red and Yeller, who my be staying awhile with us if I continue to be so picky. So all together we have 10 dogs. OMG I am offically a horder.
I need to apologize, I have been really bad about posting this week. Our daughter in-law and grandson moved in on Sunday and our grandson has kept us very busy. We delivered 2 puppies last Saturday, Buck (orange) and Bruno ( green). They both went to wonderful families and are both doing great. Buck's family emailed and said they have not seen any lions since his arrival so he is doing a great job protecting them. We have 2 puppies left, Red female and Yellow male. I got a call today and there is a good possibility that they might of found good homes. Lets keep our fingers crossed. I will take pictures of the pups and our Ridgeback family soon and post them.
I also wanted to thank all the families who have gotten their pups from this litter. We are very lucky to have found such wonderful families and we are confident that they will love their new family member as much as we loved them.
Yellow collar Male is now available again. I feel really bad for him because this is the 2nd family who has decided to purchase him and then back out. Maybe the third time will be a charm, he himself has an attitude so maybe the next family will be the perfect match for him.
